Usage
සංස්කරණයThis template is used to request a source for doubtful etymologies in ===Etymology=== sections.
To use this template:
- Add
{{rfv-etym|xx}}
to an entry. The language code is required to ensure that it goes to the correct subpage of Wiktionary:Etymology scriptorium. - Start a new discussion on Wiktionary:Etymology scriptorium, using the (+).
If the request could do with attention from someone versed in a particular field, add the parameter topic=[topic]
; this will add the page (automatically) to Category:Entries needing topical attention and (eventually, manually) to the list at Wiktionary:Entries needing topical attention.
Parameters
සංස්කරණය|1=
(required)- The language code of the term whose etymology needs verification. See Wiktionary:List of languages.
|fragment=
,|section=
- The section of Wiktionary:Etymology scriptorium to link to; this goes into the URL, after the pound sign. Defaults to the page name.
|sort=
- The sort key for the page; rarely needs to be specified.
|nocat=1
- Disable categorization of this page.
|topic=
- If given, add this page to Category:Entries needing topical attention and (eventually, manually) to the list at Wiktionary:Entries needing topical attention. Also add the specified param value to a CSS span id contained in the request message.
This template adds the page to the following categories (where LANG is the language whose code is specified using |1=
):
